Assistance is needed in placing cones on the field, setting up tables, and connecting the scoreboard.
This group reports to the QVRA Board and is responsible for creating the policies and rules that not only align with national league rules but also ensures the safety of our youth and fair play. The group meets two to three times per year. New members are welcome to ensure representation of each age group/league.
If you’re not sure how much time you can commit, start by talking to your child’s coach. There may be additional ways you can volunteer without committing much time.
Background Check Information
The safety of our children is our top priority. Pennsylvania law requires all SVLAX volunteers to have the following clearances. Any volunteer must complete these clearances and submit to SVLAX prior to any practice. No exceptions.
Criminal Background Check (https://epatch.state.pa.us/Home.jsp)
Select the New Record Check (Volunteers Only) link. Enter the requested information, and print out a paper copy of your clearance certificate.
Child Abuse Clearances (https://www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home)
If you've applied for child abuse clearances in the past you can access your account and print your clearance certificate. If you haven't applied in the past, you must first create an account. Be sure to print out the certificate upon completion.
FBI Fingerprint (https://uenroll.identogo.com)
This is only required if you have not lived in Pennsylvania in the last 10 years.
USA Lacrosse Information (https://www.usalacrosse.com)
In addition to the requirements set forth as a resident of the state of Pennsylvania, it is a requirement that all coaches and volunteers have valid USA Lacrosse memberships for the entire lacrosse season. As a member of USALacrosse, all coaches and volunteers must comply with their clearance policy. Coaches and volunteers must receive a GREEN LIGHT from the NCSI Background Check Process as well as SafeSport.
