Volunteers

Our program relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of volunteers who help create a positive, fun, and safe experience for all participants. Volunteers play a vital role in supporting players, coaches, and families throughout the season. Whether you’re coaching, organizing events, managing equipment, or helping on game days, your time and energy make a lasting difference in our players’ development and enjoyment of the game.

We welcome your help to make SV Lax successful. If you have any kind of lacrosse background (played through high school, college, etc.), please consider coaching!

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact director@svlax.org.

This group reports to the QVRA Board and is responsible for creating the policies and rules that not only align with national league rules but also ensures the safety of our youth and fair play. The group meets 6-8 times per year. New members are welcome to ensure representation of each age group/league.

If you’re not sure how much time you can commit, start by talking to your child’s coach or board. There may be additional ways you can volunteer without committing much time.

Background Check Information

The safety of our children is our top priority. Pennsylvania law requires all SV LAX volunteers to have the following clearances. Any volunteer must complete these clearances and submit to SV LAX prior to any practice. No exceptions. Follow steps for clearances through the USA Lacrosse website to complete criminal background check and Child Abuse Prevention training.

In addition to the requirements set forth as a resident of the state of Pennsylvania, it is a requirement that all coaches and volunteers have valid USA Lacrosse memberships for the entire lacrosse season. As a member of USALacrosse, all coaches and volunteers must comply with their clearance policy. USA Lacrosse Information (https://www.usalacrosse.com)

Coaches and volunteers must receive a GREEN LIGHT from the NCSI Background Check Process as well as SafeSport.
