Soccer

For nearly 50 years, soccer has been the largest youth sport in the Sewickley Community.  Established in 1976, Sewickley Area Soccer has a long history and tradition of teaching new and rising young players the worlds most popular game!  SAS is also a member of the PA West Soccer Association.

Program Objectives

  • Introduce kids to the ball and the game

  • Develop Individual Soccer Skills and Tactics

  • Teach Teamwork and Positive Attitudes

  • Promote Higher Levels of the game for Players

  • Identify Players who can and should move up and help them achieve this

  • Foster Parent Volunteer Involvement and Community Support

How to Be Involved

  • Volunteer to Coach a Team (we assist in licensing and certification)

  • Volunteer to Help with Field Set up and Take down each week

  • Volunteer your time to help the club with administrative duties

  • Become a Soccer Referee (we offer in-club training and certification)

If you already have a uniform you are not required to purchase a new one.

TOPSoccer Season

US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a recreational sports program for children and adults with intellectual, emotional, or physical disabilities offered only through local U.S. Youth Soccer-affiliated soccer clubs. TOPSoccer provides people with diverse abilities an opportunity to play soccer in a structured environment that is safe, fun, supportive, and inclusive, sessions will be designed for all to participate.

 

Our Season will run on Saturdays from 12-1 PM at the Quaker Valley Middle School for 8 sessions beginning on March 28th and running through Concluding May 30th. We will be off on the Saturday before Easter (April 4) and the Saturday before Memorial Day (May 23). Please bring your own water and soccer ball. 

2026 Summer Camp Sessions

SAS offers two different Summer Day Camp sessions for players aged 3-14. For Summer 2026, Week 1 is July 13-17,  and Week 2 is August 3-7.

Camps start at 9 AM each day, Monday-Friday. U4 and U5/6 players meet from 9-10 AM, U7/8 players from 9-10:30 AM, and U9 to U14 meet from 9 AM-12 PM. Registration for SAS Summer Camp Sessions will open in May. The summer camp sessions will be held at the Quaker Valley Middle School field. Snacks will be provided for those staying until 12 PM. If you are staying until 10:30 AM and would like to stay for snack, please feel free to bring a snack from home. Players will need their own water and soccer balls; extra water will be provided on hot days.
